Case Study/
Maidscross Hill

Maidscross Hill is a local nature reserve in Suffolk which is located very close to a village primary school. The brief on this project was to design and produce a series of “activity posts” which could be installed around the reserve and which the school could use as the focus for outdoor lessons.

The Food Chain TotemStone Age Totem

We designed and manufactured a total of 10 different posts, all produced in Douglas fir and featuring attractive designs with both routed and printed graphics. The topics covered included photosynthesis, food chains, mini-beasts, birds, camouflage, butterflies, flowers, soil, rabbits, trees etc. and for each post we developed a set of teachers’ notes with suggested activities and projects based around those topics.
